What Okulez is

A disciplined research subscription for traders who already make their own decisions. Macro thesis, options-expression framework, and an AI layer that knows your book. Every signal hits a public, server-timestamped ledger before any position is taken.

The product is built around three pillars: macro-thesis-driven signal cadence (the Engine), position-aware AI coaching that adapts each idea to the subscriber's actual portfolio and domain expertise, and a lifestyle-inflation hedge basket (Shield) sized to real spending.

On the AI stack, transparently: the personalization layer runs on Anthropic's Claude (Sonnet model, prompt-cached for cost). The AI does not generate the trading edge. It takes the founder's macro framework and the subscriber's actual book and produces position-aware coaching. Naming the underlying model is the right disclosure for a $99 product; the edge claim is the framework + the publish-before-enter discipline, not the language model.

What Okulez is not

• Not a hedge fund. We do not manage outside capital, hold subscriber funds, or accept fiduciary mandates.
• Not a generic signal feed. Signals reference a stated thesis and a defined exit window; subscribers size from their own conviction via the in-app Allocation Compass.
• Not financial advice. Every publication is educational research under the publisher exemption. Subscribers act on their own account.
• Not an AI alpha engine. The AI personalizes the macro framework to your book; the edge is the thesis and the discipline, not the model.

Who runs Okulez

Okulez is a single-operator publication. One founder writes the macro thesis, publishes every signal, and answers the AI's escalations. No outside investors, no editorial team, no ghostwriters. The voice is one person's voice, and the record on /track-record is one person's record.

Single-operator products carry both an advantage and a tradeoff. The advantage is consistency: the framework that shaped a 2026 signal is the same framework shaping the 2027 signal, with no committee dilution. The tradeoff is bandwidth: no AI-assisted multi-author scaling, no 24/7 chat staffing, no whitelabel deals. We chose the consistency.

Intellectual lineage

The framework draws on a small set of public influences and a longer set of internal models built from years of trading:

• Concentration over diversification. Stan Druckenmiller's principle that one or two high-conviction trades cover the rest of the year. The Allocation Compass is built on this.
• Regime-aware macro positioning. Markets cycle through identifiable phases (bull grind, commodity tailwind, employment deterioration, banking stress, reflation, etc.) and each phase rewards a different set of trades.
• Publish-before-enter discipline. Every position is timestamped on the public ledger before capital touches it. This is the structural defense against survivorship bias.
• Position-aware coaching, not generic signals. The same idea is a re-add for one subscriber and a fresh entry for another. The AI knows the difference because it knows the book.
